Automated Clinical Laboratory
The clinical laboratory is the place where Professionals perform clinical analyses that contribute to the study, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients’ health problems. Clinical analysis laboratories, according to their functions, can be divided into: Routine laboratories and specialty laboratories.
Together we have more than 200 tests. The following are routine tests:
Complete hematology:

- Sample: Blood
- Utility: Assesses the overall health of the patient.
- Fasting: Noangre
Complete urinalysis:
- Sample: A clean-catch urine sample in a sterile container.
- Recommendation: This sample can be collected at any time of the day and it should not take more than 2 hrs to deliver it to the lab.
- Fasting: No
Complete stool analysis:
- Sample: teaspoon-sized sample in a sterile container.
- Utility: Complete assessment of the performance of the digestive system, checking digestibility, hemorrhages and parasitism.
- Recommendations: This sample can be collected at any time of the day and it should not take more than 2 hrs to deliver it to the lab.
- Recomendaciones: Puede ser tomada la muestra a cualquier hora del día y no debe pasar más de 2 horas para entregarla en el laboratorio.
- Fasting: No
Fasting glucose:
- Sample: Blood
- Utility: Establish the blood glucose levels in diabetic patients or in those patients suspected to be diabetic.
- Fasting: 4 hours.
Triglycerides:
- Sample: Blood
- Utility: It is part of the set of tests to assess the lipid profile and risks of suffering atherosclerosis.
- Fasting: 12 hours
Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, VLDL:
- Sample: Blood
- Utility: It is part of the lipid profile study to assess the risk of suffering atherosclerosis.
- Fasting: 12 hours.
- Hormones and pregnancy tests.
